EXPRESSION IN MONO KAMANA

After a long negotiation we got green light to start the project that we also introduced in Navodaya: The Expression Book! Check my previous posts to read more about the program ;). 

We did it a little differently here. The students were with 30+ in each class and we only had 15 books left. So after we gave the workshop we decided to work with loose sheets of paper that will become a book after all the exercises are finished, this way all the students could participate.

When we asked the student to draw what hurts them the most for the second exercise we were saddened. Some of the students drew a school and wrote that the teachers hit them for no reason and that they didn’t like to come to school anymore. Some of the teachers were moved while others didn’t see it as an issue.

We were assured that the program will continue after the big finals. Here in Nepal the new school year starts in April and our colleagues of CEPP will keep a close eye on how the program continues.
